About Me

I’m Kristin, a graphic designer, illustrator, and artist based in the New England region of northern NSW. My work sits at the intersection of design and art, drawing inspiration from the natural environment to create visuals that are both authentic and imaginative.

I specialise in thoughtful, purposeful design that helps people tell their stories. For small businesses, that may mean developing branding or a logo that feels true to their values and vision. For authors and creatives, it may be illustrations that bring new worlds and characters to life. Whether the brief is professional or playful, my approach combines clarity of communication with a sense of creativity and originality.

My background in the arts and humanities, combined with training in natural history illustration, has shaped the way I see and interpret the world. I enjoy working in both traditional and digital mediums, often blending the two to create work with depth, texture, and character. This flexibility allows me to move fluidly between disciplines - from detailed natural history studies to contemporary graphic design - while maintaining a consistent focus on quality and meaning.

As a creative, I value empathy, originality, and connection. I believe the best design happens when we look closely - at nature, at ideas, and at people - and then translate those observations into work that communicates with honesty and impact. My practice continues to evolve, but one thing remains constant: my goal is always to create work that not only looks good, but feels right - design and illustration that balance style with substance, and always keeps life and lifeforms at the heart of the process.
