MY FAIRY VILLAGE

Sketch_edited.png

For My Fairy Village, I was asked to develop both concept sketches for this start-up's first product, Primrose Cottage, and a brand logo. The brief was to create a whimsical fairy-house style that would feel magical yet believable, striking a balance between fantasy and structural realism. To achieve this, I researched traditional structures - including medieval French houses and Swedish stave churches - to ground the design in authentic detail while keeping the overall look playful and enchanting.

The design needed to work as both a creative project and a lasting toy. It had to be simple enough for younger children to construct with minimal help, but also engaging enough to inspire imaginative play once assembled. To make the design accessible for a wider range of ages and abilities, I created decorative outlines and creative details that offered guidance for painting and decorating, giving younger children structure while leaving space for older children to express their own creativity and artistic vision.

The logo I designed took the form of a clean, friendly wordmark paired with a simple illustrative element that captured the essence of the product - playful, approachable, and imaginative. Together, the concept sketches and logo formed the foundation of My Fairy Village, setting the tone for a brand that blends creativity, storytelling, and hands-on play.
